Council of Medical Colleges in New Zealand

Submission on the 2012 Review of the HPCA Act

The Council of Medical Colleges made a submission to Health Workforce New Zealand on behalf of eight Member Colleges.

Health Workforce New Zealand requested feedback on their 2012 review of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003.

The main purpose of the HPCA Act is to protect the health and safety of the public. The review looked at how the HPCA Act is functioning within the wider health system and how it (or the broader regulatory environment) could be improved.

CMC responded to this review on behalf of eight Member Colleges while some Member College submitted feedback independently. A copy of CMC's submission can be found here.
