Forum on Physician Assistants and Advanced Nursing Roles - 8

The forum was overall, a very informative excercise with
presentations from different sector representatives including
doctors, clinical nurse specialists, a physician assistant, a nurse
practitioner and from other sector stakeholders such as the Medical
Council, the New Zealand Nursing Organisation, Health Workforce New
Zealand and the Ministry of Health.
Guests and CMC Members enjoyed the opportunity to discuss the
different roles and hear the viewpoints of each group and all
participants came away with a better understanding of New Zealand's
current workforce issues and what needs to happen to ensure that
the needs of New Zealand are being met.
